Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Io(Error)

Transport I/O error.

Decode(DecodeError)

Packet decoding error.

Encode(EncodeError)

Packet encoding error.

Client(ClientError)

Client state machine error.

ConnectionClosed

The connection was closed or all handles were dropped.

PacketTooLarge

Outgoing packet exceeds the server’s Maximum Packet Size.

Property(PropertiesBufError)

Property buffer construction failed.

QueueFull

The operation was rejected because the offline queue is full; retry once the client has reconnected and drained pending work.

Superseded

A later SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE for the same topic filter superseded this one before it was acknowledged, so its SUBACK/UNSUBACK will never arrive. The later request now owns the filter; reissue if needed.
