ScalarText

Struct ScalarText

Source
pub(super) struct ScalarText<'a> {
    text: &'a str,
    position: Position,
}
Expand description

Text written plain when that is safe, and quoted otherwise.

The check is conservative: over quoting never changes a value, under quoting can. A value that YAML 1.1 reads as a boolean is quoted.

Fields§

§text: &'a str§position: Position

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'a> ScalarText<'a>

Source

pub(super) const fn key(text: &'a str) -> Self

Source

pub(super) const fn value(text: &'a str) -> Self

Source§

impl ScalarText<'_>

Source

pub(super) fn is_safe(&self) -> bool

Source

fn looks_numeric(text: &str) -> bool

Whether the YAML 1.2 core schema, or a leading zero form, reads text as a number.

Source

fn is_decimal(text: &str) -> bool

Source§

impl ScalarText<'_>

Source

fn needs_double_quotes(&self) -> bool

Double quotes are needed only for text that must be escaped; single quotes carry everything else verbatim, with ' doubled.
